Weill Cornell Medicine researchers have designed an AI system that could help clinical laboratories identify problems before they disrupt testing and delay patient care. These laboratories analyze samples such as blood, urine, tissue or other bodily fluids to help doctors diagnose and treat diseases. However, growing test volumes, workforce shortages and increasingly complex diagnostics are placing mounting demands on laboratory operations.
Results for “cornell faculty”
Researchers have found a surprisingly common vulnerability in a broad variety of cancers and have begun designing drug compounds to exploit it, in a study led by investigators at Weill Cornell Medicine. The findings suggest the possibility of a potent, low-side-effect treatment that could benefit many patients with colorectal, breast and other cancer types.
Researchers at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center have identified a promising strategy for overcoming one of the biggest challenges facing KRAS-targeted cancer therapies: treatment resistance. Results of the preclinical study, led by Roswell Park faculty members Vishnu Kumarasamy, Ph.D., Agnieszka Witkiewicz, M.D., and Erik Knudsen, Ph.D., were published in Cancer Research.
